Geometry was the sole contractor responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive Housing Management System (HMS) for Housing Tasmania, a division of the Tasmanian Department of Health and Human Services. HMS took over twelve months of development effort, and replaced a range of legacy systems. A major component of the project was the analysis, modelling and migration of the data from the legacy systems, as well as defining and modelling all associated business processes. HMS comprises the following features:

• Asset Maintenance – over 20, 000 land and building assets form the core of HMS
• Contract Portal – maintenance work orders are managed through an externally available web portal or system interface
• Strategic Asset Planning – automated recommendation on portfolio management and optimisation
• Tenancy – dealing with multiple rental models and automated deductions through Centrelink
• Financial management – automated links to Technology One Financials
• Spatial integration – maps are integrated into all components of HMS
• Mobile enabled – all features are available to the mobile workforce enabling vast improvements in service delivery
• Workflow engine to generate and manage workflows – business processes are defined in BPMN
• Comprehensive Reporting – allows all staff to define their own reports and show results on maps
• Interfaces to external system including Centrelink and private housing providers
